Low water situation

Information regarding the current low water situation

Current situation
You have booked a river cruise with DCS-Touristik and are following the latest reports on low water levels? We can certainly understand that.

Water levels on Europe’s rivers are significantly influenced by weather conditions and can change within a short period of time.
It is important to note that the situation varies depending on the river and the section of the route.
Even a few centimetres can determine whether a section of the river is fully navigable or whether adjustments are required.

Safety is our top priority
Together with our shipping companies, captains and local authorities, we are continuously monitoring water levels.
Our top priority is to ensure your river cruise takes place safely and, as much as possible, as planned.

If changes to the itinerary are nevertheless necessary due to unusual water levels, adjustments can be made to the routes, for example.
Of course, we will notify affected guests or the travel agency that made the booking as soon as possible once reliable information is available.

Information for affected guests
We therefore ask that you refrain from making individual inquiries regarding current water level trends.

Should your trip be affected, we will contact you or your travel agent without being asked.
Until then, you can assume that your trip will go ahead as planned.

Thank you very much for your trust and understanding.
We look forward to welcoming you on board soon.
